Starting with a single concept Pink Petrol built a time boxed proof of concept and then went on to create 'SpellPoint' a fully customised & developed SharePoint 2013 intranet!


Merlin Entertainments is the largest operator of visitor attractions in Europe, and globally the second largest after Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Merlin Entertainments operates 100 attractions, 9 hotels and 3 holiday villages in 22 countries,

Starting with a concept image, which then developed into a time boxed 20 day proof of concept, was loved by everyone that the green light to develop it further into a fully customised & developed SharePoint 2013 intranet - we even made them a launch video!

Working with Merlin Entertainments we saw a design concept blossom into a fully working intranet

Let's talk wireframing, concepts & UI

Our team designed and built a great looking new corporate intranet, working closely with their brand guidelines, we produced an intranet that the workforce of Merlin Entertainments would enjoy & we proud of.

Time boxed proof-of-concept

To help gain client buy-in we developed a time boxed 20 day proof of concept to show the key features of SharePoint 2013 as well as how great it can potentially look.

SharePoint masterpages & page layouts

We created a range of SharePoint page templates and master pages to enable our design to work perfectly but still retaining the smooth UI of edit experience as well as SharePoint itself.

SharePoint Themes for Sharepoint sites

We produced a range of themes to customise resort SharePoint sub sites - such as LEGOLAND, Chessington World of Adventure & Alton Towers to make sure integrity of the sub brands.

End User Adoption Planning

Building a SharePoint 2013 intranet doesn't stop there - having a strong end user adoption plan is important. We provided a range of user guides, tips & tricks to get the best our of SpellPoint.

Launching SpellPoint!

For the launch & to help users understand what SpellPoint was a about we created a launch video which breaks down the important aspects of their new SharePoint 2013 intranet!
